Blog Post 4: Evidence
There has been many sighting of El Chupacabra in different countries for the past decade. Many of these sightings have been misidentification of actual animals with intense mutations .One sighting in particular caught the attention of many on August 8, 2008.When Dewitt County deputy Brandon Riedel and his partner were patrolling a deserted back road when they came across a mysterious creature running in front of their squad car. According to Riedel the creature “[was] hairless, with a long snout, short front legs and long back legs”. Once both Riedel and his partner notice the creature’s unique features, they turned on the dash camera and recorded the following video.
Since then the Dewitt Sheriff Department does not know what deputy Riedel caught on camera that Friday afternoon near Cuero, Texas; but they do know that whatever it was will create sighting around the county and bring the legend of El Chupacabra back to life. Riedel said that “he's willing to work with credible researchers… Who want to look at the video.. And help solve this mystery” and bring the legend to El Chupacabra either to an end or to a new beginning.

Blog Post 1: Proporsal
When growing up most kids are taught to be home before dark because of the understandable reasons that their parents taught them early in their childhood, but for other kids, the reasons on why became more like horror stories passed down by their relatives rather than actual normal reasons. In many Spanish-speaking countries the legend of a blood sucking animal like creature is known to hunt at night attacking and feeding on goats and on anything wondering out under the moonlight. El Chupacabra has become one of the most common stories told and passed down from generation to generation to keep the mystery and the fear of what the darkness holds once the sun goes down. I chose this topic because like every other kid born and raised in the Hispanic culture, the fear of El Chupacabra has been in my life since I grew up as a kid in Puerto Rico. I believe that El Chupacabra is a misidentification of an actual animal. I also believe that the story later on became a source of persuading and creating fear for kids to stay inside at night time. As an individual I want to explore beyond the stories told by my relatives and come up with solutions and explanation for the mystery behind the legend of El Chupacabra.
